Adventure Ecology

Check out the game Adventure Ecology. It’s a computer game that aims to help players tackle the issues surrounding the relationship between humans and their physical and social environments. Through focusing on interdisciplinary learning, the game raises awareness about the detrimental effects of modern civilization on the environment. The designers would like players to conquer the game (aka save the earth) and leave with a head and heart full of realistic solutions and positive human behaviors. Sounds great, eh?

I’ve made it to the first mission, and I have to take a ‘proficiency quiz’ based on Gardner’s multiple intelligences. Apparently the game will adapt the activities to my type of intelligence. Find out more about the game in Plenty magazine.
